Art Class

Just last week my art class took a walk down mainstreet to a aparment building. Weird right?, well when we got upstairs I saw the most coolest thing ever! A women carving slate chinks into wonderful peices of work. She talked to us about how she first started art, she drew alot, because in her school there wasnt any scultpure classes. Anyways, she continued about how she went to Ireland to continue her study in Form. Form is  a principle in art. She focused in form very well in high school and continued in her college years. I dont really remember her name very well, but she has a studio in poultney above the pharamacy. She has carved slate since 2003, so she has many peices of work. I will ask my art teacher if I could have some of those pictures she toke and post them on here for you guys. This slate carver let us carve into some slate. She makes very beautiful peices, she did a headstone for a lady with roman lettering, a rare lettering that no one really teaches anymore. I hope this women comes along way with her work, I thought it was beauitful. Congrats!
