David

Today I will talking about this world famous sculpture, David. This sculpture was made between 1501-1504, by Michaelangelo. This sculpture was made to present the Bibical David. In Florance it was revealed on  8 September 1504. David is looking towards Rome in a warning glare. David was carved out of carrara marble, and toke more than 2 years to sculpt David.

          In 1991 a man attacked the statue with a hammar hidden under his coat, because of this attack, David lost half of his foot before police refarined the man.

    Hi Kortni,
    I went to Carrara Italy and saw where Michelangelo got his marble. Do you know that the head is bigger than normal because you were supose to be looking at it from below? I love his unfinished pieces.
